People who want to participate in the Wichita River Festival as performers, vendors or event organizers have a few more days to sign up.
Through Friday, festival organizers will be accepting applications from people interesting in getting involved.
They’re looking for performers such as musicians, actors, dancers, and magicians, as well as aspiring food court and craft vendors.
Festival officials also are looking for hobbyists willing to create and manage an event based around their areas of interest. And they are asking for individuals willing to donate time or money to step forward, too.
The applications are available online at WichitaRiverfest.com.
The annual event is scheduled for May 30 through June 7. Organizers will reveal the theme and the button artwork on Feb. 12, and they’ll name the new Admiral Windwagon Smith, the figurehead for the event, in March.
In April, they’ll begin announcing the schedule and the lineup of musical performers.
