A cab driver who was dropping off three men at the La Quinta Inn at 7335 E. Kellogg early Saturday was beaten and knocked unconscious, police said.
Officers patrolling the area saw a man stumbling around the parking lot with a bloody and swollen face about 12:25 a.m. Saturday, Sgt. Jeff Davis said. The man is an employee of ABC taxi company, and he wasn’t able to remember much of what happened, Davis said. The man, who is in late 30s, was taken to the hospital in non-serious condition with several broken bones in his face, the sergeant said.
Davis said it was unknown yet whether the men had taken any money from the driver.
