Wichita State names university honors college dean

Wichita State University has a new dean of the university honors college, the university said in a prepared statement.
Kimberly Engber became the dean on Jan. 19, named to the position by Tony Vizzini, vice president for academic affairs.
The honors college will hold its first class in August 2014 from its new home in Shocker Hall.
Engber has a bachelor of arts in English from Kenyon College, the WSU statement said, and a Ph.D. in English with a specialization in American literature and women’s and gender studies at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She was a Fulbright scholar, and joined the WSU faculty in the fall of 2007, the WSU statement said.
