Someone recently broke into the Sedgwick County Yards near 2200 S. Webb and stole items, leaving a loss estimated at $11,141, a sheriff’s official said Wednesday.
Between 4:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, someone cut a hole in a security fence and took 190 gallons of diesel fuel, 100 gallons of unleaded fuel, a gas-powered compressor, a gas-powered generator, a 14-foot tandem-axle trailer and a drill, sheriff’s Lt. David Mattingly said.
It’s not the first time thieves have hit there, he said.
