The weekend may seem downright tropical in the Wichita area after the deep freeze of early this week.
Forecasters say highs in the 50s and sunny skies can be expected Saturday and Sunday. But first there’s a rainy Friday to contend with. Highs will reach the mid-40s, with the light rain or drizzle ending by early afternoon.
Winds will be out of the south in the teens, gusting at times to the low 20s, before shifting to the west.
Temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s are expected linger into early next week, forecasters say.
