Intrust Bank Arena lost money in third quarter, but less than last year

Intrust Bank Arena logged net building income of $191,000 year-to-date through the third quarter of this year, Assistant Sedgwick County Manager Ron Holt told commissioners Wednesday.

Intrust Bank Arena logged net building income of $191,000 year-to-date through the third quarter of this year, Assistant Sedgwick County Manager Ron Holt told commissioners Wednesday.

The third quarter ended about $110,000 in the red. That compares to a loss of just more than $577,000 for the same time period last year. Operating expenses were up slightly in the third quarter compared with the same time period last year.

The arena’s third quarter featured three concerts, including Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan, which brought in audiences of more than 10,000 people.
