Wichita man dies in Cowley County collision

A 47-year-old Wichita man was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Cowley County on Sunday night, authorities said.
Clessie Cole Jr. was driving north on 11th Road, about four miles west of Arkansas City when he ran a stop sign at about 9:20 p.m. and was hit by a car coming east on U.S. 166, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Cole died at the scene. A passenger in his car, 41-year-old Shunda Vinson of Wichita, was taken to the hospital in Arkansas City for treatment and then released.
The driver of the eastbound car, 25-year-old Ashley Osborne of Arkansas City, was also taken to the hospital in Arkansas City, then transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment. She was in fair condition at mid-morning on Monday.
