Houses near 13th and Oliver hit by gunfire

Police are investigating a shooting that was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday near 14th and North Pinecrest.
A woman called 911 to report that her 17-year-old was was walking with his two 15-year-old friends when a person in a white SUV with 22-inch rims drove by and fired several shots at the three teenagers, according to Sgt. Scott Brunow, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
Although the teens were not injured, two houses in the 1500 block of Northeast Parkway, near Oliver, were struck by the bullets, Brunow said.
