Authors Sharon Hill Cranford and Dwight Roth will talk about faith and family and their recently released book at 5 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Wichita.

The two, who formerly taught at Hesston College, wrote “Kinship Concealed: Amish-Mennonite-African-American Family Connections.” The book uses real and fictionalized characters to tell the story of two brothers in the 1700s, one of whom became an Amish bishop and one of whom moved to the South and became involved in slavery.

The free event is hosted by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at the church, 2653 North Hillside.
