Wichita police are investigating a shooting that happened at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of North Erie, near Hillside.
A 32-year-old man told police he and his 18-year-old son had returned home after a night out together. He was unlocking his front door when a tan Mercedes-Benz pulled up in front of the driveway, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
The man told police he called out to the two occupants of the car, “Who are you?” Someone from inside the car then shouted out, “Who are you?”
Ten shots were then fired from someone inside the vehicle, Brunscheen said. No one was injured. However, the man’s house and vehicle were struck by bullets. The Mercedez-Benz then fled the scene.
A 38-year-old woman and two girls, 11 and 13, were inside the house sleeping at the time.
