A public forum on historic preservation statutes is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the city council chambers at City Hall, 455 N. Main.

The meeting will review the city’s options in response to the repeal of a state law calling for the review of changes to any property within 500 feet of another property on the state or historic registers.

The city has the option of passing a local ordinance to allow those reviews to continue.
