Authorities on Friday arrested Andale’s police chief on suspicion of domestic violence.
Sedgwick County Jail records show that Robert Bailey, 40, was booked shortly after 2 p.m. Friday. He was later released on his own recognizance.
Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter confirmed Bailey’s arrest to The Eagle by phone, saying it occurred about 9:15 a.m. Friday. The victim, Easter said, was female. No other details were immediately available.
Bailey joined the Andale Police Department as a full-time officer in early 2010, according to the city’s website. He was appointed to the chief’s position in May 2012.
