The Maize school district had a slight enrollment increase for 2013, a district spokeswoman said Friday.

Total enrollment is 7,068, up about 1 percent from 2012. The number of students attending the district’s traditional schools fell by five, while enrollment at its online virtual school increased by 60 students.

The Maize district, which encompasses parts of northwest Wichita, has two high schools, two middle schools and five elementary schools. It also has an alternative high school, an early childhood center and a virtual school.
