Wichita State University president John Bardo will announce how he’s redesigned the university’s scholarship programs at a news conference at 11:30 a.m. Monday, the university said in a written statement Friday.
Bardo and Deb Byers, director of financial aid, will explain the new programs and how they will reward a wider range of students, the WSU statement said.
Bardo has said that if WSU is to grow in spite of recent losses in state government support, it must increase the size of the student body. He’s already outlined plans to step up efforts to recruit students from out of state.
