The Bread of Life Food and Clothing Center will host live and silent auctions on Oct. 12 to help give Wichita’s needy a meal this Thanksgiving.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the center, 1301 E. Galena. Tickets cost $25 and include food and some auction dollars. Organizers hope to raise $20,000 to help buy 1,700 turkeys and dinner fixings that will be distributed in mid-November during the 17th annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway.

For tickets or to donate an auction item, contact Fred Pinaire at 316-708-9564 or or call Bread of Life at 316-689-6866. Contributions are tax-deductible.
