The city of Andover’s 1-cent sales tax for a new city hall facility will end 15 months early, city officials announced Friday.
The tax, which was set to end Dec. 31, 2014, has produced more revenue than anticipated, allowing it to sunset in just three years.
On Oct. 1, the city’s sales tax rate will reduce to 7.4 percent.
