Wichita State basketball player D.J. Bowles released from hospital

Wichita State freshman basketball player D.J. Bowles was released from Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis on Sunday, according to the university.

Wichita State freshman basketball player D.J. Bowles was released from Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis on Sunday, according to the university.

Bowles collapsed during practice on Tuesday evening at Koch Arena and was taken by ambulance to Via Christi. On Wednesday morning, WSU issued a news release describing him as stable and alert. On Wednesday, his condition was upgraded from serious to fair.

Bowles, a guard from Cleveland, Tenn., will undergo more tests to determine the cause of his hospital stay, according to the news release.
