Man trying to buy crack has money, car stolen

He wanted to buy some crack, but he needed to get some cash.

So the 28-year-old man picked up two men in the 2800 block of North Grove early Monday morning, drove to an ATM and withdrew money, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said.

But the two men didn’t give the victim any crack. They took his money at gunpoint, ordered him out of the car and told him he would find his car at 21st and Grove. They then left.

Indeed, the car was found later at 21st and Grove. No description of the suspects was released.
