Wichita police have arrested a 19-year-old man who was driving westbound on St. Louis and who allegedly ran a stop sign before colliding with a another vehicle.
The 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, driving under the influence, running a stop sign and driving after his driver’s license was suspended, according to Sgt. Scott Brunow, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department. The accident happened at 11:55 p.m. Saturday.
The 55-year-old man who was driving the other vehicle was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in critical condition suffering from broken ribs, a collapsed lung, ruptured spleen and internal bleeding.
