Parents with school-age children are invited to the E.C. Tyree Clinic’s 11th annual Community Day on Saturday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 1525 N. Lorraine.
The event starts at 10 a.m. and will include free school supplies, free haircuts for kids and low-cost physicals, dental screenings and immunizations. Admission to the health fair is free.
The clinic will also host a two-mile run at 8 a.m., before the health fair. The Heel 2 Heal run will benefit the clinic, which provides health and dental care to uninsured and low-income families. The clinic said in a media release that it recently completed an expansion and served 8,000 families last year.
Registration for the run/walk is $20 in advance and $25 the day of the race. Visit www.tyreeclinic.com to register online, or register in person at the clinic or at First Gear, 111 N. Mosley in Wichita.
