Wichita State University’s Child Development Center is enrolling children for its prekindergarten room.

The center serves children both in and outside the campus community, university spokesman Joe Kleinsasser said in a release. The center’s website says it serves the campus community, but because there is no current waiting list, applications will be taken from outside the campus, Kleinsasser said.

The center creates lesson plans tailored to each child, the website says.

Children need to be 5 years old before Aug. 31, 2014, and entering kindergarten in August 2014, the statement said. For more information, call the Child Development Center at 316-978-3109.
