A 22-year-old Wellington man died Friday night after his car collided with a grain hauler in Cowley County, the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report.
Jaan Sepp was headed east on K-15 when he reportedly ran a stop sign and struck the rear trailer of a 1999 Volvo Power Unit, the highway patrol said. The Volvo – a grain hauler – was headed south on U.S. 77 about 10 miles north of Winfield when the crash occurred about 9:30 p.m.
Sepp, who was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero, was killed, the highway patrol said. The other driver, 29-year-old Michael Frakes of Douglass, was not hurt.
