A Lenexa teenager has been charged with impersonating a wildlife officer in interactions with a number of people last month in Shawnee Mission Park.

Johnson County prosecutors charged 18-year-old Cameron T. Prouse with a misdemeanor count of false impersonation. He was arrested earlier this week and released from jail after posting bond. An arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday in Johnson County District Court.

According to the allegations, several people reported that while they were fishing in the park, they were approached by someone claiming to be a wildlife officer who asked to see their fishing licenses.
