A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm and resisting arrest, after a street brawl in the 3700 block of East Ross Parkway around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said eight to 10 men believed to be gang-affiliated were fighting in Planeview, possibly with knives as well as a gun.

When officers arrived, the men started running. Police apprehended the 21-year-old after using a Taser on him. Officers thought the man was carrying a gun, which was later found in his front pocket, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said.

One of the Taser probes hit the back of the 21-year-old’s head. Nolte said the man was taken to a hospital to remove the probe. Afterward, he was booked into a detention facility, Nolte said.
