Wichita police said a 76-year-old woman’s home was broken into Friday morning and she was sexually assaulted.
Sgt. Scott Brunow said the break-in occurred around 5 a.m. in the 2300 block of Menlo, near Harry and I-135.
“She was home alone when the unknown person kicked in her door,” Brunow said. “She was battered and sexually assaulted, and property was taken from the residence.”
He said two male suspects have been taken into custody.
Brunow said he couldn’t release any other details Saturday. More information is expected to be provided by police on Monday morning, he said.
