Seven members of Wichita State University’s rowing team and others from WSU helped build a nature center at Riverside Elementary School on Thursday, the university said in a news release.
The work is one of a number of projects that a university volunteer group called the Wu Crew has done this year, the university said.
Wu Crew includes students, faculty and staff. They do personal projects and group projects, said university spokesman Joe Kleinsasser.
Six members of the Wu Crew joined the seven WSU crew team members to help put in the nature center for students at Riverside Elementary, 1001 N. Porter, Kleinsasser said.
