An 18-year-old woman was injured in a rollover crash south of Cheney on Sunday night, authorities said.
The crash was reported shortly before 6:40 p.m. at 5314 S. 375th St. West, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. That’s about two miles south of Cheney in western Sedgwick County.
Katrina Ukena was driving north on 375th Street when she entered a series of curves in the road and lost control, Sedgwick County sheriff’s Lt. David Mattingly said. She lost control of the vehicle, which went into the ditch and rolled.
Ukena was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment of potentially serious injuries, authorities said. A hospital spokeswoman said late Monday afternoon that no one by that name was a patient at Wesley.
Investigators are looking into whether excessive speed played a role in the crash, Mattingly said.
