Drivers of two vehicles that crashed head-on Wednesday morning on I-135 north of Hesston were taken to hospitals with injuries, a Kansas Highway Patrol accident report said.
Neither driver was seriously injured, a highway patrol dispatcher said.
Shortly before 8 a.m. about 2 ½ miles north of Hesston, a 31-year-old man from McPherson was driving an F-150 Ford pickup southbound in the northbound lanes. His vehicle collided with a northbound 2007 Chevrolet SUV, which was driven by a 65-year-old Wichita man.
The drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles.
Northbound traffic in both lanes was blocked for about 1 ½ hours while the wreckage was cleared. Both men were wearing seat belts, the report said.
