Wichita police officers arrested 11 people on morals charges Thursday on North Broadway.
Lt. Doug Nolte said the officers were targeting “Johns,” or alleged customers of prostitutes.
The sting took place throughout the day Thursday, Nolte said. Police booked some of the men into jail also on suspicion of “failure to comply with mapping restrictions.” Nolte explained that people previously convicted of morals charges in certain areas, such as North Broadway, are not allowed in that area again. Just being there can be a crime, Nolte said.
