Two men are under arrest in connection with a law enforcement impersonation earlier this week in west Wichita, police announced Thursday on social media.

The men, ages 20 and 21, were arrested Thursday afternoon, according to the Wichita Police Department’s Facebook page and Twitter feed. More details are expected Friday at the 10 a.m. police news briefing with media.

A Kingman woman made the report of the impersonation late Tuesday after a 1980s Ford Bronco with red and blue flashing lights pulled up behind her as she drove in the 1200 block of North Maize Road, police have said. She refused to stop after noticing the Bronco had no siren and the lights appeared to flash from a visor.

The woman called 911 after the Bronco went around her and sped away, Wichita police spokesman Lt. Doug Nolte said Wednesday.
