Fire causes $10,000 damage to west Wichita house

Fire damaged a house in west Wichita early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported just after midnight at 610 N. Boyd, near Central and I-125, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. It took firefighters more than an hour to put out the blaze.

No injuries were reported. Lt. Joe Evans said the fire caused an estimated $10,000 damage to the exterior of the house. A cause has not yet been determined.
