Wichita police are investigating a death in south Wichita on Saturday afternoon as suspicious, dispatchers confirmed.
The man, in his 60s, lived in an apartment complex in the 600 block of South Woodlawn, dispatchers said.
Late this afternoon, the scene was cordoned off with crime scene tape and police officers were talking to two men in the front yard of the complex, which is located just south of Kellogg on the east side of Woodlawn.
Several police cars surrounded the complex, and a Sedgwick County coroner’s van was on the scene.
A female witness observing the scene said one of the men in the yard, wearing a dark blue sports jersey, was sitting in the yard earlier, holding his head in apparent grief.
The investigation is continuing.
