A court hearing in a stalking case filed by former Wichita City Council candidate Joshua Blick was continued Thursday.
Blick obtained a temporary protection from stalking order March 18 against Wichita businessman Craig Gabel, alleging that Gabel and his employees harassed the candidate and his family during the campaign the two men waged for the District 4 City Council seat.
Blick and Gabel were opponents in the Feb. 26 primary election, with Blick finishing first with 40 percent and Gabel third with 24 percent. Runner-up Jeff Blubaugh won the seat from Blick on April 2 by 46 votes.
Blick said Thursday afternoon he expects a hearing date to be set on Friday.
