A traffic stop led to the discovery of items thought to have been stolen in recent auto burglaries, Wichita police said Friday.

A traffic stop led to the discovery of items thought to have been stolen in recent auto burglaries, Wichita police said Friday.

Anyone who might have had items taken in the break-ins can contact police at 316-268-4646 and ask for auto theft and larceny detectives, police Lt. Doug Nolte said.

The traffic stop occurred Thursday morning at Douglas and Oliver after an officer saw a van run a stop sign at Douglas and Old Manor and drive somewhat erratically, Nolte said. Police found items in the van that appeared to have been taken in auto burglaries. Police arrested three people in the van.
