A 16-year-old boy is suspected of shooting a 20-year-old man in his right leg early Saturday in the 1300 block of South Hydraulic, Wichita police Sgt. Bruce Watts said.
Officers responding to a call about the shots at the address around 1 a.m. heard more gunfire, then pursued two vehicles fleeing from the scene, Watts said.
Police stopped one vehicle occupied by four males ranging in age from 16 to 24. The other vehicle, driven by the 16-year-old shooting suspect, led police on a chase. He was apprehended a short time later, Watts said.
The 20-year-old man showed up at Via Christi Hospital in St. Francis for treatment and is expected to recover, Watts said.
