Is Leonardo DiCaprio on the Wichita State Shocker bandwagon?
Maybe, maybe not.
But despite a photo of the Hollywood star circulating on the Internet, it doesn’t appear that he has announced his full support of Gregg Marshall’s team quite yet.
In the photo, DiCaprio is seen wearing a “Flying”-W Shocker baseball cap, seated next to Tobey Maguire.
The photo, shot by Associated Press photographer Mark J. Terrill, is real — it is just not recent.
Leo wore the Shocker hat to the 2009 NBA Finals between the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers, held at the Staples Center, where WSU will take on La Salle on Thursday night.
At the time DiCaprio would routinely rotate through various baseball hats when he was seen at events such as that.
They have not had any particular significance.
He has been seen in hats representing many schools including UCLA, the University of Michigan and Florida Atlantic.
At a game last season, Leo just went to the fedora — with no team logo.
No word on whether we should expect the “Titanic” star courtside Thursday night to cheer on Carl Hall, Cleanthony Early, Ron Baker and the guys.
