Two women saw a man holding a shotgun standing on their front porch in the 1200 block of N. Indiana on Friday night, police said.

They called 911 to report the man about 11 p.m.., and when police arrived they found him across the street. He told them he was feeling suicidal and had decided to find somebody to talk him out of it, but all he was doing was walking around with a shotgun, said Sgt. Bruce Watts.

The man went to jail on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault, criminal use of a weapon, and unlawful inhalation for smoking a cigarette dipped in formaldehyde, Watts said..
