Exhibit features famous furniture from Kansas’ past

The desk and chair used by Kansas native Ed Asner on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” is among the historical furniture featured in a special exhibit opening at the Kansas Museum of History.

The "Furnishing Kansas" program opens at the museum at 6425 SW 6th Ave in Topeka on March 15. It's expected to close Sept. 22, according to the Kansas Historical Society.

The exhibit covers creations from the state's territorial days to its recent past.
