If you have a child in Wichita public schools – or one who will attend in years to come – Tuesday is your chance to shop the choices.
The 25th annual Choices Fair, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Century II Exhibition Hall, will feature information about magnet schools, neighborhood schools and special programs available in the Wichita district.
New this year: Parents whose children are headed to middle school or high school can attend information sessions geared to help ease that transition. The sessions are at 5:15, 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall’s upstairs area, Room EX 201R.
The Choices Fair is free, and parents are encouraged to bring their children. Spanish and Vietnamese translators are available.
Visitation days for Wichita magnet schools will be Jan. 28 to Feb. 1. The application deadline is Feb. 15 at 4:45 p.m.
