Police still searching for Fidelity Bank robber

Authorities are still looking for a man who robbed the Fidelity Bank branch in southeast Wichita on Thursday night.

The man used a rock or another object to break the glass front door of the bank at 7711 E. Harry just after 6 p.m. Thursday, Lt. Doug Nolte said. The branch is just west of Rock Road.

The robber demanded money from the bank tellers and took the cash drawers with him, Nolte said. He walking west and south from the bank, witnesses told police. No weapon was seen, Nolte said.

He was described as a black man in his early to mid-30s, 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall, between 200 and 220 pounds. He has facial hair, though more details on it were not given.

He wore a dark gray stocking cap, a blue and black flannel jacket, blue jeans and a red bandanna.
