Two men in ski masks robbed a McDonald’s on North Broadway during a prime dining period Tuesday night, police said.

The men walked into the restaurant at 1050 N. Broadway at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Lt. Doug Nolte said. One of them walked behind the counter and told the 22-year-old clerk that he had a gun — though she never saw one.

He took cash from the register till as the second robber stayed on the other side of the counter. They then left the restaurant.

The first robber wore a red hooded sweatshirt and red ski mask. The second robber was a white or Hispanic man who is 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 and between 130 to 150 pounds.

He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with a Kansas City Chiefs emblem on it and a yellow ski mask.

No injuries were reported. Nolte said he didn’t know how many people were eating at the McDonald’s at the time it was robbed.

Police hope to release surveillance images to aid in the capture of the suspect, he said.
