Wichita police detectives are investigating the robbery of an AutoZone in the Parklane Shopping Center.
The robbery was reported at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at 910 S. Oliver, near Lincoln.
Police gave the following descriptions of the two robbers: The first is a 35-year-old white approximately 5-foot-10, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark bandanna, a dark hood over his face, a black Tommy Hilfiger jacket and armed with a full-size semi-automatic handgun. A second suspect is a 20 to 35-year-old white man, with a thin build, about 5-11. He was wearing a black jacket with a red triangle across the chest, a black ski mask, black gloves and a dark hood. He was armed with a green and brown assault rifle, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
The two men entered the business and the one carrying a handgun approached the clerk and said it was a robbery, demanding all the money. The robbers then went to the store’s safe and took an undetermined amount of money, police said.
They left in a black 2001-05 Nissan Maxima.
Store employees were unable to see a license plate number.
