A Local Food Connections Workshop for food businesses and consumers interested in local food will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Sedgwick County Extension Center, 21st and Ridge Road.
The workshop is designed to help businesses, producers and consumers connect on local food. Diana Endicott of Good Natured Family Farms, an alliance of more than 150 family farms within 200 miles of Kansas City, will speak in the afternoon. A panel discussion will feature a chef, a grocery and two family farms.
The cost is $35, or $25 for members of the Our Local Food program, and includes lunch. Register at www.kansasruralcenter.org by Nov. 7.
