A 15-year-old girl punched a man who grabbed her arm after offering to sell her CDs on Friday in the 500 block of North Clifton, and police are asking anyone with information about the man to call 911.
The girl told police she was walking with friends when she noticed a car drive past her going east on Central. The car turned around, and the driver parked it on Clifton and waited for the girl to approach, Wichita police said.
When she did, he asked her if she knew anyone who wanted to buy some CDs, said Sgt. Bruce Watts. When she said no, he told her she was beautiful, and as she turned to leave, he grabbed her arm. She punched him and ran away.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and 140 pounds, wearing a black hooded jacket with a black and yellow patch on the left jacket sleeve. He was driving a GMC truck painted with flat black paint.
