Police are still looking for the woman witnesses say stabbed another woman at an east Wichita convenience store early Saturday morning.
The incident happened at about 2:10 a.m. Saturday at the QuikTrip in the 4700 block of East Central, near Oliver, Lt. Doug Nolte said. One group of women pulled up to refuel their car, and they went inside the convenience store. A short time later, a second car pulled up to the gas pumps and another group of women went inside.
An argument began inside the convenience store and continued out in the parking lot, Nolte said. At one point, a woman pulled out a set of car keys and stabbed the 27-year-old victim several times in her upper chest.
The suspect then left with her friends in the yellow Mustang in which they arrived. The victim was rushed to Wesley Medical Center, where an examination determined her stab wounds were not life-threatening, Nolte said. She was treated for her cuts and released.
Several witnesses including a security guard working at QuikTrip, told police that the suspect was a 22-year-old black woman, approximately 5-foot-4, wearing a black sequined leopard print blouse, blue jeans and red polka-dot shoes with 3-inch heels.
It is not yet clear what the argument preceding the stabbing was about, Nolte said.
