Two men who were kicked out of an Old Town club for fighting late Thursday night apparently chose to get into another round of fisticuffs outside, sending one man to the hospital, police said.

The incident was reported at about 1 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Mosley, Lt. Steve Kenney said. Witnesses said two men got into an argument and then began hitting a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-woman.

The 20-year-old man was knocked out and later taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis, where he was being treated for a broken jaw and cuts on both sides of his face, Kenney said. A 19-year-old man who came to the pair’s aid was also beaten and knocked unconscious, he said.

Police recognized the description of the suspects as a two men, ages 23 and 20, who had been kicked out of Doc Howard’s earlier in the evening for fighting. Officers have their names and are looking for them, Kenney said.
