Wichita weather: Delightful weather continues

Another pleasant day – particularly for mid-August – is in the forecast for the Wichita area today, forecasters say.

Highs should top out in the low 80s – about 10 degrees cooler than normal – under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will be light out of the east-northeast, occasionally touching double digits.

A slight chance of showers enters the forecast overnight, when lows dip to the low 60s. The chance for showers continues into Saturday, forecasters say, when highs will climb into the mid-80s under mostly cloudy skies. East winds will stay light through the day.

Sunday should be mostly sunny, with highs in the low to mid 80s.
