The crew will receive additional training in Fort Hood before mobilizing on the one-year mission.
The deployment ceremony starts at 1 p.m. Sunday in Building 365 of the Kansas Regional Training Center, 2929 Scanlan Ave. in Salina.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
This is the unit’s first deployment to Afghanistan.
