A man was arrested after trying to retrieve his stolen items Saturday afternoon, according to Wichita police.
The 25-year-old man, who lives near 13th and Wellington Place, had his residence burglarized on Friday, police said.
He contacted a 20-year-old female acquaintance that he thought knew something about the burglary, and when she arrived, he pulled a gun and took her to another location, said Wichita police Sgt. Scott Brunow.
She escaped and called 911. Police arrested the man on charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a felon.
