Wichita police have released photos of a man who is alleged to have robbed a Bank of America branch office in northwest Wichita on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities say the man walked into the bank at 7310 W. 21st North near Ridge Road at 2:40 p.m., demanded money from a cashier and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Lt. Doug Nolte said the man may have been picked up by a silver passenger car, but investigators aren’t sure if the car was involved in the crime.
The suspect is a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, who is about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, witnesses told investigators. He wore yellow plastic sunglasses, a KU cap and dark blue long-sleeve KU shirt.
He had plastic bags over his hands, and he put the money from the robbery in those bags.
Anyone with information on the robbery should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
